The #ReelsBrothers, two Black men in #NorthCarolina, were imprisoned on #ThisDayInHistory in 2011 for contempt because they refused to leave their homes. The family land, gained after the #CivilWar, was seized under #JimCrow-era laws that had cut Black land ownership 90% by 1997.
