Good news from the #GreatBarrierReef: The Australian Institute of Marine Science reported the highest levels of coral cover in 36 years across 2/3rds of the reef. Even so, the reef is still under threat. While some species are reclaiming territory after a brief respite from marine heatwaves, climate change effects, such as more frequent & intense cyclones, could undo the recovery. The fight isn't over.
