Listening to Daft Punk - Discovery - Aerodynamic while working through some complex spreadsheeeeeets.

I can't believe that CD was 24 years and two days ago.

I remember having a bad flu and crashing at a relative's place while they weren't there. "One more time" was on the radio (remember the radio??) and there was flu boi, dancing like a lunatic in his relative's apartment.

My father would take me hunting or fishing with him, and on those days after lunch he would always take a nap, and I hated it because I didn't know what to do with myself during that time.

When we were in elementary school my parents took me and my younger brother outside at night to see a comet we were told about in school.

We couldn't see the tail because it was pointing away from Earth, but my brother swore that he could see it because he "ran all the way around the block when we weren't looking" and he could see it from there. 🤦‍♂️

During our housewarming party when we bought this house back in 2011, my nephew's wife was baking some candied sweet potatoes in my oven. They were done, but the marshmallows on top weren't as brown as she would have liked.

Her: "Can I use your torch to brown this up a bit?"
Me: "How do you know I have a torch?"
Her: "You're a man with a garage. Of course you have a torch."

So... I went to the garage and got my torch so she could brown those marshmallows.

Grandpa advice that has stuck with me through the years. He often told me to never give a “boy” the time of day if he couldn’t say hello and introduce himself. The bare minimum of manners. If a guy comes up to you and says hey, what’s your name, he advised me to ignore him and walk away. The reason wild…he insisted that was how men talked to prostitutes on the street. He said that most of his unit during WW2 knew the phrase in at least 3 different languages. #randommemories

When I was pursuing Electrical engineering there were a lot of people back in my hometown who were assured that I would fix their bulbs, fans & other home appliances post my graduation. I still think about it and laugh whenever I fix something at home or see an electrical shop.😁
