Year 2004, we were testing #GBAS (ground based augmentation system), a prototype of a guidance system based on #GPS with differential corrections via #VHF #RadioLink.

I designed, developed and operated the #linux #embedded system that controls the hardware installed in the #cockpit (no #autopilot interaction allowed at this early stage).

Tests were performed approaching #Milan #Linate #airport on a #Cessna #Citation 2 (twin jet engine) owned by #ENAV. Data collected during test flights was later analyzed in order to compute performance metrics.
