RTMP has several variations.

Real-Time Messaging Protocol Secure (RTMPS) is a secure version of the RTMP.

Real-Time Messaging Protocol Encrypted (RTMPE) uses Adobe's encryption standards to protect RTMP streams.

Real-Time Messaging Protocol Tunneled (RTMPT) encapsulates RTMP data and sends it through HTTP.

Real-Time Media Flow Protocol (RTMFP) transmits audio and video securely over the internet. It is used when WebRTC technology is not available.
