I've had the displeasure of actually meeting with him in the past and to describe him as uninformed and supercilious would be a compliment.

(The guy didn't even know that UofT and the City of Toronto conduct the Transportation Tomorrow Survey, which is the authoritative data at issue in any Toronto Transportation debate! That's like being a medical commentator and not being aware of Gray's Anatomy or the Hippocratic Oath!)

I'd be happy to debate him before any audience that values facts, data, and evidence, any day of the week!

Reece Martin needs to be shut down! He is second only to Elon Musk insofar as the damage he has done to the field of Public Transit while claiming to be an advocate for it (see Musk and Hyperloop).

He is the epitome of someone speaking on a subject they have no real expertise in, but doing so in a manner that, to the masses, seems credulous and credible.

He is no different that RFK Jr.

What a dumb, uni-dimensional, and uninformed opinion!

Thanks for all those interesting, educational, entertaining (and also emotional) videos you have made over the years, @reece! I will definitely miss my regular dose of #rmtransit and hope you get a chance to deliver those few mentioned special videos you strive for. But I understand your shift of priorities 😉 I only learned now that you studied software engineering. So did I, and I made it my profession, while my interest for public transit stayed… an interest. I wish you and your family all the best for the future!
