I am hoping that we had a #michaeljfox from “The Frighteners” scenario when it came to the death of #hate mongering asshole #patrobertson. I am just hoping the #ironsheik came down from the heavens to drag the reverend’s soul. Make him humble.

Legit sad about his passing, I hoped to meet him once so he could call me a #jabroni & needlessly swear at me. Hated the guy as a kid but recognized that he was the closest thing to someone like me in the #WWF (not ideal since he was a heel). He was required watching, whether he was in the ring or cutting a promo as he felt more ‘real’ than most wrestlers.

He’s also a textbook case for pro wrestlers needing a union, healthcare, and retirement because his slew of injuries made old age painful & difficult.

Rest in power, Sheiky.

Some stats: Of the 50 men to be WWWF/WWF/WWE champion, Sheiky was the 11th to die, following Buddy Rogers, Stan Stasiak, Yokozuna, Eddie Guerrero, Randy Savage, Ultimate Warrior, Ivan Koloff, Bruno Sammartino, Pedro Morales, and Superstar Billy Graham.

Sheik was the oldest living former champ, a title now claimed by 74-year-old Sgt. Slaughter, followed by Ric Flair, Bob Backlund, Hulk Hogan, and Bret Hart.

The youngest is Bray Wyatt, 36
