The Rose City Yarn Crawl is happening this weekend. We got stuck behind a train, the yarn store was out of the kit I wanted, we failed to go to Sock Dreams because their retail store is closed, and I missed lunch. But we had an adventure! And I did get the pattern I wanted, so... Success?
Made it to the last clue of my local yarn crawl's mystery crochet a week late! I've definitely reached that point where I want to be done but also that I want to start Just About Anything Else. Anyone else have this problem as you near the end of a project? It's not even that I'm sick of it, it's like how your brain sabotages you by thinking of a thousand things at bedtime.
Rose city yarn crawl crochet mystery clue 3 is done in time for clue 4 tomorrow! I've even got my next audiobook ready for crochet time.
I was pretty worried when I realized how much single crochet there would be (I'm more of a crocheted lace fan for shawls and keep the sc for toys) but I'm getting better at multitasking (I can even read my paper book now, though slowly), my crochet muscles are stronger so I don't have to stop as often as I did with clue 1, and I'm really appreciating that knotbadbritt provided multiple different types of instructions: I'd never used a colour block diagram like this before and it turns out it's my favourite for this pattern!
I'm getting the vibe that Hatch doesn't appreciate me crocheting even if I'm sitting on the queen sized dog bed so I can also give him pats.
