I like to bury my knots, between the layers of fabric, on my quilts.
Sometimes, while stitching, one pops back out. 🙄
An easy way to fix it, is with an ‘Easy Threading’ needle, because you can slip the knot into the eye of the needle & then pull it back under. 🪡👏

Cording is another versatile embellishment.
It can do quite a few different things.
In this case I couched it down as a straight line.
Instead of pulling the beginning and the end, to the back, I did a knot on both sides, stitching them down, too - and that became an added feature.

You can decorate stitched-down rickrack by threading a contrasting thread (like perle cotton), underneath. Go through in the same direction, all along, using a blunt needle, to get this barber pole effect.
