These are the signature keepsake quilts I’ve made for beloved family.
Each design was personalized and the names & messages collected on the wedding day, continues to remind each couple, how treasured they are. 🥰😘❤️

A most useful tip, when preparing your appliqué patches – If you use pinking shears to cut curves, it avoids most of the need to clip.🪡🧵

You can see I’ve been hand stitching with a variety of threads - all in pinks & blues. 🩷💙

ArtsandSocks 🧶🪡Just finished binding my wall hanging. Now to take some pictures for my blog. This picture is my hand sewing kit. Back when I learned to sew, I used to put my threads in my mother's decorator ashtray. No one was allowed to use it as an ashtray, but I could put my stray threads in it. I have regretted never owning an ashtray for my threads. More recently I acquired a Mikasa trinket bowl from an elder who was downsizing. I now have a more elegant thread catcher than a jar lid.
