More fool me for getting REM’d this morning.
The three stations between Édouard-Montpetit and Gare Centrale are functionally an important part of the Metro network at this juncture.
So, I ended up taking the long way around the mountain, which was about as much time as I’d have had to wait for the REM to restore service in the end (~25 minutes).
Not sure what my point is here 🤔

A reminder to consider parking your car away from trees today!
This is how close my partner's car was to becoming a metal pancake in the last major ice storm of April 2023. Half a tree literally booped his car.
The freezing rain front is about to hit #Montreal and #Ottawa just in time for morning rush hour.
Good thing that all the schools & colleges here are closed!

Concordia, UdeM & #McGill will be closed, though other post-secondary institutions had not yet made decisions.”
I think this is the first time we’ve experienced an orange alert under the new system?
Hope this one won’t be as bad as the one two years ago, but just in case we have the candles ready for those extra-cosy power cut vibes.
