#CAQ govt will require #Quebec universities - #Concordia, #Bishop’s and #McGill - to raise the French language proficiency of its students.

Sixty percent of their students must reach level 4 French proficiency or provincial funding will have to be repaid by the universities.

Similar rules were already put in place for students at English #CEGEPs two years ago.

Canadians among activists detained from Gaza flotilla after Israel interception

“At least 11 Canadians out of the 12 who took part in the flotilla have been detained.

Five were detained earlier — two from #Vancouver, two from #Ontario , one from #Montreal — and a sixth person was detained later.
