As a longtime journalist and former #pubmedia news leader, I've always wished @NPR would do more to differentiate its #USPol #journalism from other mainstream national outlets. Its audience wants something beyond the daily talking points and analysis of what's already widely reported -- coverage rooted outside DC, speaking for and from the rest of the US. Occasional newsmaking interviews like Steve Inskeep's with Ag Sec Vilsak are refreshing. Also wish NPR #journalists were here vs. Twitter/x
