Finished my paper airplane FPP #quilt recently and am already well into the next project. Except for the backing which I don't like enough to show it's all thrifted and salvaged fabric. Each plane is ditch stitched on my machine and then the "speed lines" are big hand stitching. #sewing #quilting
Been away for a year and a half but returning like the Prodigal Son.
MPR is dying but it's got company

I had lunch with a long-time best friend colleague during my working years yesterday. She came out to the hangar for a picnic. She left MPR...

We've had 5 days with precipitation in Woodbury. Total: 4.54". Guess I shouldn't be surprised the finished basement is taking on water.

Many of same Republicans in Congress sharing Mother's Day wishes also oppose paid family leave and universal childcare. Hello?

What the heck am I doing? Starting a fiberglass project on the canopy. Stay tuned

I honestly don't see how you write an obit about Terry Anderson without mentioning Peggy Say, his sister, who was singularly responsible for keeping the nation's attention on him throughout his captivity and was the actual hero of the story.

Terry Anderson, AP reporter abducted in Lebanon and held captive for years, has died at 76

Terry Anderson, the globe-trotting Associated Press correspondent who became one of America’s longest-held hostages, has died. His death Sunday was confirmed by his daughter, Sulome Anderson. Terry Anderson was snatched from a street in war-torn Lebanon in 1985 and held for nearly seven years. Anderson, who was tortured and chained to a wall, wrote about his experiences in the best-selling memoir, “Den of Lions.” After returning to the United States in 1991, Anderson gave public speeches, taught journalism and, at various times, operated a blues bar, Cajun restaurant, horse ranch and gourmet restaurant. He also struggled with post-traumatic stress disorder.
