If it helps, moreover, I can reveal that The War Of The Worlds post-dates 1984, Jeff Wayne's The War Of The Worlds pre-dates Nineteen Eighty-Four, and 1984 post-dates the Knight Industries Three Thousand; and one of those was a contemporary of SCO Xenix.

Of course, when they read the answer sheet that I've just put up, Colin and Keith will realize that that is no bloody help whatsoever. (-:

"Мост" is indeed a Slavic word for bridge. The famous Charles Bridge in #Prague is Karlův most, for example.

Yes, you have to know a capital city on a river, other than Dublin. (-:

And not wanting to spoil things for @bytebro 's mate, who gets to realize that with a search engine and the concomitant expectations that attach, this is in fact *more* difficult than without; I shall just say that you have been led up the garden path as intended with one thing.

There are two entries designed especially for the search engine users, that I'm not going to explain in detail yet.

If you *do not* use a search engine, then reasonable allowances can be made for assumptions about those entries. But search engine users *must* be comprehensive, on the other hand, and everyone else can have fun holding them to that.

I did plan this a bit. (-:

A list with locations for playing life in pubs in a region would be so cool. Could there be any maybe?

For anyone else that wishes to make use of the aforementioned barbilliards table: the pub is called The Glasshouse Stores, it’s in Brewer Street and the clockwork mechanism of the table doesn’t work! You have to pay four pounds at the bar to get the mushrooms, and then you can play until your little heart is content of this truly magnificent game #Barbilliards #PubGames
