I was sitting in the sun, working on my outline and character database on my #psion5 . The screen became unreadable. Oops! After two minutes in the fridge it is back to normal. Knowing that the screens of fives degrade, I will be using the Revo for working in the sun from now on.
It's really easy to beam files between them over infrared, though I still have to test that from newer to older device. Probably not a problem.

No internet connection, no pop ups and a pair of AAs will easily last the day 😊
I'm using my #Psion5 as a writing helper for my comic. I have an outline in the word processor, a timeline in the spreadsheet, and character notes in the database. The database is only just good enough, the other software is very nice.
The Revo has a more readable screen, but the Series 5 has a much nicer keyboard. If you want to type with your thumbs only, the difference doesn't matter.
Either is much better for writing down ideas in odd places (park, train, bed...) than a laptop is.
I was going to make this the first post tagged with the title of my comic, but it turns out one with a very similar title exists on the web. I will have to think of a different title.
Noch ein paar weitere Gedanken zum Thema #remarkable :
- tolles Engineering der Hardware, der Formfaktor des Move ist der für mich spannendste seit dem #psion5
- die Frage ist warum es das Gerät nicht in schwarz weiß und mit folio gibt, fällt mir schwer zu beantworten
- die Handschrift Erkennung zerhaut jede Formatierung - so ist sie sinnlos
- Single purpose Geräte müssen schnell und zuverlässig funktionieren, das #remarkable ist beides nicht
