Hit the end of the main story of Princess Crown. It's a neat little piece of history as "Odin Sphere 0", though I think it did overstay its welcome a bit. Probably the most baffling choice is that they unlock Evil Gradriel Mode in the second-to-last quest step before the end of the game - and then the last boss disables it. So basically the only time you get to use it is on the random mobs on your last little jaunt to the castle.
