CarrylPretty in Pink is an old movie I’m curious about because the actor playing Duckie, Jon Cryer, played Griffin Gluck’s dad in Big Time Adolescence in 2018. Not long later, Griffin played Jack Dunkleman in Tall Girl and they based him somewhat on Duckie. I don’t know if the filmmakers knew they’d played father and son just a year before.
There are also similarities in the films’ themes of an outcast girl and the choice between suitors.
I wouldn’t have realised but, now I know, I can see it in some of the costume choice, especially the jacket and pin badges, as well as the name (Jack also gets called Dunkers).

Then, attached it to the plant it fell off from. It looks like it's eating its family 😅
