(DM me for my Signal account if that feels more comfortable.) I would like to know what my options are if I’m away from my east coast clinic when I’m due for a shot.

Bonus points for places that accept private, non-HMO (i.e. not Kaiser) insurance.

My #PrEP jello shot injection was in my hip, this time, and while it isn’t as bad as in the gluteus maximus, it still does ache in the gluteus medius.

Worth it, tho.

(Seriously, it’s a really viscous gel, and it’s like 6 mL of the stuff! Hence jello shot. They do spray me with a freeze-y spray first to numb the spot, which works wonders - I barely feel the needle at all.)
