The Post Office Horizon scandal wasn’t “just” an IT failure.
It was a case of a translation system becoming unfalsifiable — and then legally authoritative.
When reality disagreed, reality lost.
This pattern matters far beyond this case: whenever metrics override judgement and systems stop listening to boundary truth, people closest to reality get crushed.
