One muslim gold medalist was refused entry to her convocation for wearing a hijab. One hindu gold medalist refused to enter the convocation hall in protest. Because both were Indians. And this function was presided over by no less than the President of India.

Rabeeha Abdurehim, a student from #PondicherryUniversity was asked to step out of the convocation at the last moment for allegedly for wearing a hijab. Following this incident, she rejected her gold medal.
