When a far-right political operative says something ridiculous about a scapegoated group, ask these far-right operatives how they are going to accomplish said position. When most moderate voters and even some Republican party voters hear what legislation and unconstitutional actions said political operatives are advocating for they will be repulsed.

But it's for the children they might still respond, in which, Beau suggests you respond if we can violate one particular amendment to protect the children whose to say the second amendment won't be next (Obviously, not every loyal Republican party voter cares about the constitution. On a related note, one of the things I liked so much about Erica Etelson's book "Beyond Contempt: How Liberals Can Communicate Across the Great Divide" was her focus on how to listen to those you disagree. If we better listen to those that we disagree with, we might find better ways to connect).
