The History of Philosophy Without Any Gaps is an impressive project that began in 2010 with the ambitious goal of covering the entire history of philosophy in a concise yet comprehensive and nearly systematic way.

Interview on The Librarian Linkover Pocast about my work, toxic workplaces, libraries, ThriveLib, and more!

I recently had the pleasure of being a guest on The Librarian Linkover podcast with Lorene Kennard, and I’m excited to share our conversation with you!

We covered a lot of ground, from workplace well-being and recognizing toxic cultures to entrepreneurship and how library skills translate far beyond traditional roles. We talked about the tough stuff, too – burnout, structural challenges, and what it takes to start shifting workplace culture for the better. And yes, we even tackled vocational awe and why creating psychologically safe environments matters now more than ever.

I also talked about the idea for the ThriveLib Conference and the amazing Advisory Board.

Huge thanks to Lorene for the invitation and for producing a podcast that highlights the real impact library professionals are making across industries.

Give it a listen and let me know what resonated with you and what you’d like to hear more about!

I just noticed that the RSS Advisory Board (@rssboard) is on Mastodon. I have often wondered if there is any movement to revise the #RSS standards or maybe publish a standard specifically for #pocasts. Does the RSS Advisory Board have any support from outside entities?

Distrotube made a short video about Castero, a podcast software in the terminal. You don't need a big, bloated software to listen to your favorite podcasts.

Hey, ich habe es tatsächlich mal wieder geschafft die wichtigsten #Pocasts soweit wegzuhören. Dann kann ich ja gleich wieder zu den #Hörbüchern wechseln.
