@plaguepoems

Hello, I'm not sure if you've done a #plaguepoem about the link between #quinsy (or peri-tonsillar abcess) and #COVID19 but it appears to be quite really rather high.

Lymphocytes are not so nice
When tired and confused
Organs taken for a ride
Blood vessels abused

"Coughs and sneezes spread diseases"
So does silent breath
"Symptoms mild," our fatal weakness
Later, excess death

Stiffness in the arteries
Capillaries blown
Prematurely aged, deceased
The shitshow must go on

#poem #PlaguePoem #CovidIsNotOver

It's so airborne you bluescreened
It's so airborne you froze up & booted a partition from 2018
Trent tried to warn us, I heard it last night:

"New world
New times
Mutation
Feels alright"

#poem #PlaguePoem

We share the air
But do not care
It's why SARS 2 is everywhere

Too much to ask
To don a mask
So anxious to get normal back

Vaccines are good
But not enough
And we will pay for that with blood

In shortages
And microclots
And disability like POTS

I wish us well
But sick we'll get
If folks do not listen to this

#poem #PlaguePoem #CovidIsNotOver

As I told him, patiently
That being sick this frequently
Just isn't how it used to be
He looked at me, confused

He could not remember clearly
It ever being differently
His confidence could not be beat
A perfected abuse

Inside that pacifying mind
Emergency was hard to find
"Oh well," he shrugged and sighed, "it's fine,
I'm sure it will end soon"

A @plaguepoems of my own:

While the athlete is swiftly
removed from the premises
in their wheelchair,
they will soon learn
just how many places
they can't enter in one.

2024_7_19 Plague Poem

When you try to crumple paper
(the overly pressed
stretched too thin
soul of something that used to live
wildly
ferverently)
the first time
It is tough
Sharp
Resistant

When you try to crumple
(the overly pressed
stretched too thin
soul of something that used to live
wildly
ferverently)
the 1,000th time
i am tired
weak
bled through

The capitalist class
Hoovered all the good stuff
There will be no more
good stuff
Ever again
From now on
There will be crumbs
Slivers
Morsels
Drips & drops
In between the storms
Perhaps a dampened laugh
Underneath a mask
