Caught in ever escalating levels of support at #google as I had a #pixelpass and so wasn't eligible for the #Geminiadvanced year trail. I've now cancelled my pixel pass - and hope that the upper eshelons will give me my trial. I need it for the storage as much as the AI - I'm maxed out right now

At least for me, the point of joining #Google's #PixelPass program was that I tend to hold onto my phone long past the point where I should have replaced it because I hate wasting money I don't have to. I was hoping to use Pixel Pass to break that habit and get me to upgrade my phone every two years.
By cancelling the program, Google has ensured that I'll buy phones less often and therefore they'll get less money out of me. 🤷

@arstechnica received the email yesterday. My wife and I are both affected by this as we each have #Pixel6 phones with the #pixelpass plan on #fi

Suppose it was a decent deal if Google kills it off before a full term.

Only used it for the #youtubepremium and #googleplaypass subscriptions, and I think it was still cheaper than buying the phone and those plans piecemeal. IIRC.

Google is killing its Pixel Pass subscription less than 2 years after launch.
