It’s stunning to me how many people simply don’t realize that the reason we’re all sitting in an hour or more of #traffic traveling any road around dense regions like #Seattle is cars. We’re wasting tons of public time and money investing in private vehicle infrastructure and it simple takes way too much space and money to keep up with.

It’s straight up just more efficient to move people in larger vehicles. A bus is an order of magnitude more effective at moving people than a car. Trams are more effective than busses, and a heavy rail rapid transit system is about the most efficient and reliable kind of transportation we can build.
