@etchedpixels @Wintermute_BBS @f4grx TBH, the problem on @RaspberryPi isn't restricted to #RaspberryPiOS but every #Linux distro I know that supports it or any #arm64 / #ARM-SBC...

@larsmb #AppleTV with #VLC app or literally a @Raspberry_Pi #Pi4B with #Kodi ?

I'm impressed at the graphics so far, I've been able to watch videos and naturally I tested #hercules for #ibm 370 #mvs a la #tk5 and the improvement over the #Pi3B alone had me order an #OrangePi #orange_pi_5 / #Pi5 16GB

Most of my daily software is available on ARM, except for official #GoogleChrome and #VMWare Horizon- I haven't started with x86 emulation/conversion but the #Pi5 I have coming is 2.5GHz, a massive improvement over the 1.5GHz #Pi4B and the 1.2GHz #Pi3B so I'll happily wait!

#Pi4 is a *much* better mobile device than the #Pi5. It plays nicely with USB-C PD whereas the Pi5, with an SSD plugged in, stands a really good chance of crashing due to being undervoltage.

Also, the Pi5 is a power hog! It runs routinely at 5W. Plug in an SSD and watch that spike! As a mobile platform, that is terrible.

Looks like Pi5's use case has nothing to do with mobility whatsoever.

Also, this was written from #Kali running on my #Pi4b.

So, what #RSS feed readers does everyone use? I'm running #FreshRSS on a #Pi4B.

#Amazon #Prime Days "Betrug".

#Raspberry #pi4b

*) Raspberry Pi 4 Modell B; 4 GB, ARM-Cortex-A72 4 x, 1,50 GHz, 4 GB RAM, WLAN-ac, Bluetooth 5, LAN, 4 x USB, 2 x Micro-HDMI

@OttersDangerDen @Raspberry_Pi I've got 2 4gigs on a #turingpi2. Working out some network issues but they are great so far. Feels more performant than #pi4b. (And eventually the "AI" accelerator chip will be supported too.)

Edit to add: I've never seen a #cm4 in real life. Or even in unstaged actual-user photos.

@mattmay that's just the purely speculative #MarketCapitalization which has nothing to do woth EBITA, Assets, Revenue or a Business Model.

Why else does Apple get ranked as a Trillion-Dollar Company and none of the logistics giants come even closer.

If #Apple can't deliver a product, that'll piss off less than 1/10th the number of companies compared to @Raspberry_Pi being unable to deliver #CM4 & #Pi4B's.

Or remember that container ship stuck in the Suez Canal???

@nyanotech @gsuberland @Raspberry_Pi I mean the #CM4 does support #NVMe and there are even boards from #WaveShare that basically breakout all the ports of a CM4 in the Foodprint of a #Pi4B - including #PCIe in the Form of an M.2 2280 M-Key slot [with a single lane]...

Still, out of cost reasons, USB-Boot would've been the most versatile option allowing anything from a cheap & slow USB 2.0 Thumbdrive [or even 3,5" FDD if supported for retro fans] up to a huge-ass array of HDDs and/or SSDs...
