* The character was introduced in the 1940's #OldTimeRadio show, several months before Perry White appeared in the comics. He was performed by Julian Noa.
* "Lois & Clark"s Lane Smith thought his Southern accent did not fit with the classic Perry White phrases, and changed them to reflect his own love of Elvis.

The #Superman #RadioShow aired from 1940 to 1951. #BudColyer voiced the #ManOfSteel, which was sponsored by “Kellogg's Pep Cereal.”
The show established many iconic phrases we now associate with the character, including “Up... up... and AWAAY!” (used to give action to flight scenes).
#Kryptonite and #PerryWhite were also first created for the #OTR series.
