Decided to take some pictures of my poicephalus parrots Elliot (meyer's parrot) and Maxwell (red-bellied parrot) after I gave them some pea pods I brought in from my garden. As is typical Elliot grabbed his from my hand and dug in, while Max waited for me to drop it in his dish, then went over and took a tiny nibble (which you can see on the tip of his beak in this picture). He did eat the rest after the picture though. My "PoiBoiz" love everything I give them from the garden, and never leave anything behind!

Today's Daily Photo This was my sweet Chloe. She was a white-capped pionus parrot. Pionus parrots are among my favorites, I've had 3 over the years. Chloe passed a few years ago and I still miss her life crazy! She was an amazingly sweet and bratty, opinionated, stubborn bird, and I never thought of what life would be like without her...anyway, I just was going through some of my older photos and ran across this, she still tugs at my heart, and just looking at this I can still feel what it was like playing with her and cuddling with her (which she hated, but would tolerate once in a while!)...
