Called DHL customer services to find out why I don't' have a code to pick up my parcel, despite going through a resend process to email and phone.
After the usual tapping numbers in the call handling tree, and the long tracking code, which btw cannot be pasted into the call keypad on Android(!) I had to agree for the call to a human(?) to be recorded and used in their AI system.
Had an 'available for collection' notification for a delivery to a DHL parcelshop and tracking also shows it delivered.
Went to parcel shop, parcel there, I have photo ID, but I don't have a collection code, cannot collect the parcel.
It was 8:30pm. DHL customer service closed at 8pm.
Arrived home, found the webpage for resending the code, requested the the code. Did not get the code.
The wonky parcel tracking reference resolved at 5:30pm so I'm not getting the parcel today as it's only just found its way to the originating depot. It did give me time to redirect it to a collection point so I don't have to wait in tomorrow.
Name a more iconic duo than wonky parcel tracking and waiting in all day.
