“La7 è diventata la tv anti-Meloni, è evidente a tutti. È la nuova RaiTre, ha un’identità forte”. A dirlo è stato il direttore del TgLa7, Enrico Mentana, intervistato da Mia Ceran sul palco del Festival della tv di Dogliani. “Urbano Cairo, proprio qui – ha detto la giornalista – ha dichiarato di aver ‘addolcito’ La7, di averci trovato Santoro e Lerner e di averci messo Augias e Cazzullo. Tu sei d’accordo, La7 è più addolcita?”. Mentana ha analizzato la Rete per la quale lavora – nel video in alto, il suo ragionamento – sottolineando come “Cairo mi ha sempre dato massima libertà. Non mi ha mai detto cosa dovessi fare o non fare. In 16 anni l’ho visto una volta sola nei miei studi, cioè quando è morto Silvio Berlusconi, per portare la sua testimonianza”.
Tuttavia, secondo Mentana, “non c’è dubbio che la situazione di adesso sia la più marcata, parlo sapendo che questo ha portato vantaggi agli ascolti. Chi guida La7 è stato bravissimo. È stato bravissimo Cairo, ed è stato bravissimo Andrea Salerno. Ciò che si vede, però, è che tutti i programmi serali hanno la stessa impostazione, gli stessi ospiti, lo stesso orientamento. È evidente a tutti, con questo intendo tv anti-Meloni”. E per spiegare meglio il concetto: “Nell’ultimo anno solare Schlein sarà stata invitata cento volte, Crosetto due. Per farvi capire”. Il problema, secondo Mentana, è che una tv così crea il bisogno di creare un’altra rete, da un’altra parte, “con uno schieramento opposto”. Poi la critica – più o meno velata – a Cairo: “È vero che quando è arrivato lui c’erano Lerner e Santoro, ma io ricordo che c’erano anche Facci, Porro. E lui stesso portò Paragone e Sottile. Però la selezione della specie del conduttore de La7, per ragioni editoriali per precise, ha portato la Rete ad essere la nuova RaiTre”.
Per i giornali di destra Mentana avrebbe “svelato” ciò che muove La7. Per il Tempo “l’affondo clamoroso di Mentana”, per il Secolo d’Italia “persino Mentana dice che La7 è diventata la tv anti-Meloni”. Sui social è scoppiata la bufera.
