The Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital (PSFDH), like many other hospitals across the region, is under significant capacity pressure due to a high demand on inpatient beds. As a result, patients who need to be admitted from the Emergency department may experience longer wait times as we prioritize care for the sickest patients first. The shortage of available inpatient beds may also result in longer wait times within the Emergency Department.
