@ScottSigler Thanks for the shout out on the Deep Cuts episode this week! You were kind with the "approximately weekly". I published 2 episodes the calendar year my child was born for example.

I'm a few shy of 700 episodes and I've been going for 21.6 years so that's 700 / 1100 weeks or every week and a half on average.

At this point I have to keep going or else I won't have the longest running podcast. It's like a rent controlled apartment. The value is in the continuity.

Oh, here’s a NOT neat thing that #podcasters need to be aware of:

YouTube DOES NOT respect 301 redirects for connected RSS feeds.

Nope. You have to go in and disconnect your RSS feed, then reconnect to the new feed. Because if you don’t, they'll keep on happily referencing the old feed.

So, if you’re in #podcasting and you've ever connected your RSS feeds to #YouTube (which, I mean, you should), go check to make sure everything is kosher, especially if you've migrated to a new host.

I don't spend much of my time thinking about "centrists," not with the entire world on the same to-hell trajectory. But @tomwebster does, specifically when it comes to media consumption, with an emphasis on #podcasting, as that's where he and I earn our living.

So, get past the article’s title. Open it, look at the pretty graphs, but be sure not to skip Tom's commentary on what the data tell him, which has to do with #politics, though the article is not political.
