This elusive nebula glows in blue from oxygen atoms and may lie 2,300 light-years away inside Sh2-129. Powered by a triple star system, its outflows span 50+ light-years. A true deep sky giant.

#Ou4 is the most extensive planetary #Nebula to date. Known as the Giant Squid Nebula, it is a bipolar nebula that stretches a dizzying length of 50 light years. This is more than an apparent degree in the sky, or twice the diameter of the Full Moon.

It is a very faint planetary nebula located in the constellation Cepheus.
