Trying to pay my #optus bill. Go to pay in app, big red banner, "SORRY A SECURE CONNECTION CANNOT BE ESTABLISHED". Try to screenshot, get "Taking screenshots isn't allowed".

What is this nonsense?

Can't pay my bill in their app, because their signal is unstable (read: crap). Can't capture error, because reasons.

So I used a camera to snap my screen, for my own records. Disabling screenshots is stupidly aggravating.

(I paid another way. But I *shouldn't've have to*.)

The tragedy is, this offer is meaningless to us. Our home internet is Unlimited, and our phones have never come remotely close to using their current 100Gb/mth of data.

My phone has been trilling every minute or two for the last hour - just to tell me "network unavailable". That seems excessive; I'll assume it's the network cutting in and out as #optus tries to restore service.

Phone now in Aeroplane Mode, just to shut it up. I don't need it; I'm not expecting any calls and I'm getting internet on my laptop through the home NBN connection.
