#OpenPGP implemented in pure #Rust, permissively licensed

This release changes the default decryption behavior for SEIPDv1 messages to MDC-check first.
While this can be less efficient for large messages, it is a defensive best practice (see https://github.com/rpgp/rpgp/issues/662).

It also includes various bug fixes for stability, and improved build speed.

Finally, the release adds all functionality from draft-wussler-openpgp-forwarding.

I released a niche @minipgp6 side-quest project:

Since the core modules of minipgp6 don't support reading "old style" #OpenPGP packet headers (as a matter of principle), it seemed fun to write an external helper that can re-frame arbitrary packet streams into "new style" framing.

With this, it's possible to read ancient/gnarly packet streams from minipgp6.

(However, in any even remotely realistic real-world scenario, such packet reframing should never be necessary.)

I am very happy that #openpgp for #xmpp (ox) gets some traction now. I just released #gosendxmpp v0.16.0 which adds http-upload and MUC to it's ox implementation. Also I am really looking forward to #conversations supporting ox.
