Users of the 📱FAIRPHONE 4️⃣ who avoided or did not get the ill-fated and retracted 15.15.2 update (see earlier toot above) should gradually get a new 📲 UPDATE 15.14.4

Been playing with #ubuntutouch as a daily driver on a #Fairphone4 and while it's quite neat and cellular actually seems reliable, everything else is a sore point. Poor performance in UBT with regards to scrolling in apps. Websites not rendering properly with the default browser. A number of apps simply dont work as they haven't been updated, or have been updated like say Futify but error out when trying to log in. Aside from that the apps that do still work can be quite bare bones...

A #Lenovo phone from the late 2010s had some #Facebook spyware silently preinstalled. I didn't discover it for years; then I installed #Blokada and saw that, every time I connected my Bluetooth headphones to the phone, it contacted graph dot facebook dot com. I tried to uninstall the spyware in ADB, but couldn't. Fortunately, Blokada comes with a block-list for all Meta's hosts.

I'm happy to report that my #Fairphone4 doesn't have the same spyware.
