‘Mobile network not available’. I knew this 5G was a crock. Never had such frequent drop-outs with 3G, ever. #OneNZ
These people cried wolf for a year saying my phone would not work after the 3G shutdown. I ignored them and I was right. Now they are doing this scare tactic, and they delay every single call I make by a minute with a recorded version of the same. Not falling for it. #OneNZ
Iʼve been getting these messages since the end of 2024 and none of the predictions have come to pass. #OneNZ
Still canʼt access @Mojeek on #OneNZ. The DNS has always been sus, and with Christmas maybe no one is keeping an eye on it.

Anyone else on #OneNZ and can’t get to @Mojeek? There are other sites unreachable, too, but I thought I’d ask about this one since it’s one of the better known …

A week or so ago, the little 3G symbol on my phone turned into HD. Iʼm guessing this is 4G? If so, it looks like the switch-over was a success. And none of the dire warnings designed to get us to buy new phones came to pass. #OneNZ

Those of you who were on OnlyKlans back in the day might remember this happening to me a few years ago, and it went on for years:

Did it stop? Yes. Like most #tech things, it stopped soon after I exposed that it was happening. Sad to know that is the case in Aotearoa, too: that tech does weird stuff till you place it in line with potential jeopardy. It makes you think there was some malicious hand in this, given the timing. #OneNZ #NZ #Aotearoa #technology #spyware

Why does my landline phone dial by itself?

As sent to Vodafone New Zealand today. Anyone know what might be going on?   Hi there:   Not really a complaint but since you don’t give any options other than compliment and complaint, the latter will have to do!    Since moving to Tawa, my landline phone has been calling numbers that no one

One NZ keeps changing its tune about the 3G shutdown

One New Zealand is like the little boy who cried wolf. For most of 2025, it has clearly said, in emails and SMSs, that I needed to change my phone because of the 3G shutdown. I smelled BS because it’s a cinch that if it’s about technology, and a big firm is telling you, you’re

Sounds like old bollocks to me. Am I to believe that 111 calls do not work on standard cellphone frequencies? #OneNZ #CryWolf
For the first time ever, #OneNZ admits that my phone can handle 4G. After about a year of repeated SMSs and voice recordings saying that I was in danger of losing connection once 3G shuts down. Still scaremongering about 111 calls, which they know and we know is absolute shite.
