The post by Johan Rooryck really resonates with me, for several reasons.

Yes, lots of innovation and quality in small publishers! And in Digital Humanities, #DOA is all but a niche: it is the default and in itself a matter of prestige (at least in my view).

Call me an optimist, but my hope would be that #ORE, rather than crowding out the smaller players, will help normalize Diamond Open Access in the sense of the tide that rises all boats.

La notizia è visibile sul sito del ministero, qui. Rimane non risolta, però, una questione strutturale: che, in Italia, a stabilire che cos’è pubblicazione scientifica e che cosa no sia il governo o una sua sempre più diretta emanazione. Il fatto che sulla scientificità di ORE, dopo precedenti diversi, ci si avvii a cambiare idea è un dettaglio che non muta il quadro.

Die DFG wurde vom @bmftr_bund mit der Durchführung beauftragt.
