Unchanging lists to call from, such as Room Types, Loot Tables, Monsters, etc.
Global DataManager, holding Resources, that LootMaker and MonsterMaker etc can call on?

I was thinking back to the 80s again. I collected a lot of TSRs output, even if I was never going to play the material. There was something that occurred in the mid to late 80s that I was not particularly fond of. TSR seemed to lean into "joke mode" for quite a few products.

WG7 Castle Greyhawk
PC2 Top Ballista
GAZ10 The Orcs of Thar
AC11 The Book of Wonderous Inventions

There were more, but those are good sampling. Mostly, it just felt like a waste of money. Not sure what caused so many slapstick like products to get made in that timeframe.

Editing to add. I actually like GAZ10 The Orcs of Thar, even though it has quite a bit of jokey content. I feel it makes up for it with a lot of mechanical rules about playing humanoids.
