#NZelection23 A sad result and a further indictment on the state of our society.... But then in any democracy a country elects the government it deserves. I hope nobody who voted National or ACT complains about their rates doubling, a deepening of the housing crisis, increased homelessness, increasing crime, falling healthcare standards, and zero action on the climate and environment crisis.

Aside from being chronically under informed so many people seem to have incredibly short memories.

I got a notification from #RNZ calling the #election, and when I clicked through to the story, only 6% of the vote had been counted.
