It's an appeal to perception bias honestly. They think since THEY haven't had any issues then NO ONE has had any.
This goes so much further than just mental issues, but it's probably easiest to identify the harm with the dogmatism in what you are discussing.
We all just need to #NormalizeMentalHealth which means that we need to admit we all need help on some level and accept those that are having a hard time as valid.
