A little patch where I was working on s&h.. I'd forgotten that the G1's s&h module won't hold control values by default, due to event scheduling issues apparently. So the work around is to use two s&h modules, with the samples signal passed through both in series with some mixed logic inversion and delay. I could probably simplify the patch in Bitwig but the Nord has its sound which I really love tbh..

It sounds simple, but I enjoy recording patches like this where the gates/events are sequenced in the patch but I can input the notes played on the fly with my MIDI keyboard. This has a 4 voice round-robin for interesting poly chords/progressions.

Whenever I have the unpleasant sensation of being overwhelmed by piles of musical gear that I don't really need, shouldn't have bought, can't use easily in the way I make music, or haven't learned to use properly because I've only recently accepted that I will never be able to do all the things I wish I could do, what with life being a finite span of time, it's nice to remember that all I need to do is click my old ruby synthesizers three times to go home again.
