It's so bizarre how some TERFy "gender critical" dickweeds act like "gender affirming" is some crazy modern librul concept when they've got performative ass-length sister-wife tradhair that I can assure you was not on their bald little baby head when they were decanted (and probably wasn't that awful peroxide shade, either, FFS). Loudmouthed atavistic stupidity is irritating.

The kiddo is aghast I'm not in awe of rich folks nor do I enjoy the places where their wealth and privilege are displayed for us rabble to ooh and ah over, which means I still have a lot of parenting ahead of me. Meanwhile, she looks outside on a clement summer afternoon, with nearby trails into lush woods and the art-filled old mill town and laments that there's nothing to do.

Only boring people get bored, I think, but don't voice.

My kid informs me she doesn't know how to have fun or be happy when she's not surrounded by other people and I can't think of anything constructive to say, because oh my goodness that would be a horrible way to live (and it's inconceivable to me, since I love being with people, but I'm also people, so being on my own is cool, too).

Every time I plug my Linnstrument MIDI controller and a pair of headphones into my laptop and start making music, I'm reminded that we live in an age of miracles for artists, writers, and musicians, but everyone still seems grumpy about everything and feeling limited. Not me, though. If anything, I'm a little stymied by too many choices.
