Success!!! Cluster scaled down including rook and then back up again 😎

I’m still amazed that the release yesterday worked first time. Wouldn’t have been possible without #nock. My end-to-end scale down/up tests have nearly 100 kubernetes API end point calls mocked up for testing

#archery today was shooting my 90lb draw weight #warbow. I shot 5 dozen arrows at the length of the arrow plus 3 inches so that I could really work on my technique. No walking up and down to retrieve, just take one step forward.

It must have worked. When I decided to have a few ends at 30 yards I had two Robin Hoods in a dozen shots. Broke one plastic #nock and took a hell of a splinter off another #shaft.

Archery can be an expensive sport.

Very nice to learn that #nock has now support for fetch: https://github.com/nock/nock?tab=readme-ov-file#nock

I had a good idea whilst looking for other peoples lost #arrows at my clubs 3D #archery tournament. It was really hard finding #CarbonArrows. Most of them have a tiny pile and a minuscule pin nock. It was really hard to get a decent signal from the metal detector. Wooden arrows tend to have bigger piles but plastic taper nocks so you only get a hit from one end.

I started thinking. A metal detector doesn't actually pick up metal it picks up magnetic fields. One quick search on amazon and you can get 24 2mm diameter x 1mm thick neodymium magnets for 3 quid.

I just tried one of the #magnets with my clubs metal detectors. It works!

The next time I make some #arrows I will add a magnet at each end. There should be enough space at the very tip of the #taper for the pile and #nock. They weight next to nothing so they wont affect the arrow.

Pass it on fellow #archers

When testing a #typescript #nodejs application with #mocha, what do you use to #mock fetch? #nock #sinon #fetch-mock or something else?
@meowski @augustus @moth honestly if you want a real man's toy OS, you install Inferno, whose VM takes up like 2MB of RAM. and Limbo is infinitely more writeable than hoon/nocl; just ask me or @p , we've written non-trivial code in limbo.
