Today's update on attempts to archive Evernote data in usable form, after testing Nixnote2. It synced ok, with limited time/data download prob due to Evernote server restrictions; I ran the app on an ext drive but all data was dumped in my C:\Users\Owner\ location. The worst aspect was it renamed every pdf or img with numbers so those folders were useless without the app. For me this is a non-starter, but may still be useful to others. It is functional, of itself.

Experiments in dealing with #Evernote. Ive lost confidence in the reliability of EN, not only bc of the steep price rise, which on its own isnt a deal breaker (cloud storage is costly...). but its about integrity/privacy of note database. The Android phone app is unwieldy/ badly designed. So, aside from #Devonthink for expert search, Im testing #Nixnote to archive EN notes. Its currently importing all notes, and seems good. Im running it as a portable app.

#joplin per me ha lo stesso difetto di #evernote e di #onenote
Hanno solo due livelli di nesting delle note.
Per me è troppo poco.
lo so che ci sono i tag ma sono una cosa diversa.

C'era anche #nixnote che poteva sincronizzarsi con evernote.
