I've been trying to wean myself off Google Keep, I've tried Joplin for a while, but it seems to generate a LOT of 'extraneous' files.

I'm now trying out Obsidian, it seems to be much better, and the markdown files saved may be read outside of the Obsidian app.

It took a while to set up and understand Obsidian, but I feel like I've made progress.
