What are your thoughts on supporting local news organizations?

I know a lot of local stations, papers, etc. have been consolidated, but I'm looking to change a subscription I have to something independent, whether local or national

to give you an idea on my "lean", I've previously supported #NPR (specifically, my local station #WOSU) and #ProPublica
