Thankfully, I was able to eat late last night. Unfortunately, I only got 2 hours sleep.

This last day has been a brutal wake up call to the fact that I've been doing more without taking time to actually care for myself. That has to change.

Gotta start taking m̶y̶ ̶o̶w̶n̶ Star Trek's advice....

Neurodivergent health and wellbeing can be even more complicated than it is for neurotypical people.

Which can be, at best, frustrating.

But, even if you feel you somehow did something to cause or exacerbate your health challenges (like me with dental matters) we all still deserve compassion, patience, and understanding. Especially from ourselves!

Yeah, maybe like me your depression made it hard to care for yourself and you're paying for it now. Doesn't mean we should be shitty to ourselves about it. Shame, self flagellation, cruel self talk, they don't help. They've never helped.

Learning to be compassionate to ourselves about this issue (well, ideally about everything!) makes it easier to actually face our problems.

We all deserve to live in the best health possible within the context of our own situation 💜
