My article examining the personhood status of human embryos from the perspectives of their development in the womb or in a laboratory environment and their preservation through cryopreservation has just been published.
Titled “Alabama Yüksek Mahkemesi’nin LePage & Fonde / Aysenne v. Medical Center Kararı Perspektifinden In Utero ve In Vitro Embriyonun Türk Hukukundaki Kişiliği Meselesi” (The Issue of In Utero and In Vitro Embryo Personhood in Turkish Law from the Perspective of the Alabama Supreme Court’s LePage & Fonde / Aysenne v. Medical Center Decision), the article has been published in the festschrift “Prof. Dr. Ahmet M. Kılıçoğlu Armağanı,” dedicated to our esteemed professor.
The festschrift ceremony, held on March 27, 2026, at Atılım University Faculty of Law in Ankara, was an extremely meaningful and emotional gathering.
I extend my sincere thanks to all the professors and everyone who contributed to making this gathering possible…
